“Favourite tour guide of all time!”
Jakov, he is by far the best tour guide i've ever had. He communicates very well, he's hilarious and super friendly. I didn't think i would get that close to him and the fact that im half his age makes him a good tour guide. He interacts very well with even teenagers my age. (i was 15 then) trust me, it wasn't boring at all with him around!
He is never late! there was this one time, we stayed in this apartment and there wasn't any elevator and then Jakov came to the rescue! He was 15 minutes early and helped us with our luggage. On a side note, he's also strong.
And also i think i found my new favourite food. Burek!!! Jakov bought our whole family a plate of burek and many more stuff but the burek is my favorite. I swear it tasted like heaven.
Unfortunately, time passes really fast when you're having a good time. I really had an enjoyable and a memorable trip in Croatia and i really hope to visit again with the same tour guide! :") i really miss him a lot.

We were fortunate enough to have engaged Yakov as a guide to take the four of us around Croatia recently in his new 8-seater. We all had a most wonderful time as he was energetic, experienced, informative, honest and very helpful. His restaurant recommendations were also superb!
We had an excellent holiday. He made it his mission to ensure that! Yakov knew what to show us and from the best vantage points. He meticulously planned our journey but was also flexible and considered our preferences. He was very well-read and knowledgeable - test him on any fact (current affairs, Roman history, medieval history, latest trends) about Croatia and Slovenia, he won't let you down.
He had patience, experience, intelligence and knowledge which from years of travelling less than a handful of guides come close to meeting our standards.
On top of it all, he's witty, incredibly helpful and genuine. Highly recommend him.

My 16-year-old son and I engaged Jakov for an afternoon walking tour of Zagreb.
He brings years of experience living and working in this city. Especially as a historian, I was impressed by his incredible command of both the big-picture stories and the details about people, buildings, and events. Jakov's enthusiasm was evident--he clearly loves to introduce visitors to new places, and does so with a dash of humor.
We learned a lot and very much enjoyed our time with him. Thanks, Jakov!
